Abstract

The French Equine Veterinary Association AVEF is widely involved in continuing education programs for veterinary practitioners in equine medicine and surgery. In addition to this role, the association also plays a major political and societal role, acting as the contact for institutions and socioprofessional agents working in the industry. It is essential to highlight these aspects that distinguish a technical national association from the economic actors in this new continuing education market. ; L'Association Vétérinaire Équine Française (AVEF) participe très largement à la formation continue postuniversitaire des praticiens en médecine et chirurgie équine. Au-delà de cette activité, elle joue un rôle politique et sociétal important comme interlocuteur des agents institutionnels et socioprofessionnels de la filière. Il est essentiel de souligner ces aspects qui distinguent une association nationale à vocation technique des acteurs économiques de ce nouveau marché de la formation continue.
