History of Dubno outpost-fortress in the light of archive sources ; Історія Дубенського форту у світлі архівних джерел

Abstract

In the second part of XIX century new demands for fortification architecture were substantiated. As the result of this a bunch of defended objects in Europe were built. The modern defended line appeared in this time along western border of Russian empire. To the monument, that completed this line belong outpost- fortress, situated near Dubno. This fortress is interesting as the touristic object with high attractive level for visitors, but also fortress left many not settled research questions. That's why different aspects of building process and using of the fortress are considered in this article. Actuality of this investigation is motived by the fact, that new researches about Dubno outpost-fortress are inefficient for the last ten years and it makes impossible the full investigation of this unique monument. On the base of studying monographic works, documents from State archive of Rivne region and military documents, accessible on web-sites, the authors consider bunch of questions from outpost-fortress history. They includes such questions as pre-conditions of the fortress building, specific of the strategic situation, engineers, process of building, topographical description, garrison and fortress artillery. The history of outpost-fortress building, wide and local significance of fortress are also considered in the article. The new information about the builders of the fortress — colonels Borisov, Belikov and local engineer captain Panov is entered to the historiography in the first time. The conclusions make all these questions more exact and provide them into the scientific circulation. На основі опрацювання наявних монографічних праць, матеріалів рівненського обласного архіву та військових документів, доступних на інтернет-ресурсах розглядають ряд аспектів з історії форту-застави. До них належать передумови будів- ництва, розміщення і стратегія, військові інженери (будівничі форту), будівництво і військово-топографічний опис, гарнізон і фортечна артилерія. У даному дослідженні розглянуто історію побудови Дубенського форту, його широко територіальне та локальне призначення. Введено в історіографію нові дані стосовно будівничих форту, зокрема полковників Борисова, Бєлікова та місцевого інженера капітана Панова.
