Abstract

The article analyzes the foreign experience of the prefect institute functioning. The historical background of the introduction of this institute in some European countries and its current state are investigated. The expediency of the institution of the prefect is determined. The prospects for the introduction of the prefect's position in Ukraine are clarified. The main attention is paid to the issue of the model of the prefect institution in the bills of Ukraine. ; У статті проаналізовано зарубіжний досвід функціонування інституту префекта. Досліджено історичні передумови запровадження цього інституту у деяких країнах Європи та його сучасний стан. Визначено доцільність функціонування інституту префекта. З'ясовано перспективи впровадження посади префекта в Україні. Основну увагу приділено питанню моделі інституту префекта в законопроектах України.
