Abstract

This paper examines the impact of 'environmental risk' on crop yields, the adoption of new techniques and technological diffusion. In Bangladesh, one of the most important factors affecting farmers' decision making is the environment. Within any given environment, risk attitudes may differ among farmers. These variations will be largely determined by demographic and socio-economic factors and will influence the way in which farmers respond to any given environment. The study considers the impact of both of these risk factors empirically. (DSE)
