Organic agriculture for sustainable development

Abstract

Agro-ecology is important in both developed and developing countries. The author speaks of reform in both the USA and sub-Saharan Africa stressing the need for development cooperation and assistance which is adapted to regional needs. Organic agriculture needs global trade reform of the inequitable world food system and changes in farming techniques which are in harmony with biological resources. (DSE)
