Abstract

Using case studies to discuss mega mergers and acquisitions in terms of value, this volume analyses a variety of different industry sectors such as pharmacy, technology, telecommunications, media and entertainment, electrical and electronics, energy, finance, consumer goods, metals, automobiles and airlines. Each chapter explores the trends and motives of mergers and acquisitions in a different sector, before analysing the largest deals in that industry. The author discusses the highlights of each deal and the strategic reasons for the merger or acquisition.
