Abstract

This publication of the European Journal of Geography (EJG) is based on the European Association of Geographer's goal to make European Geography a worldwide reference and standard. In other words, the papers published in the EJG are focused in promoting the significance of geography as a disciplin in the resolving global issues, in addition of course in improving the quality of research relatet to learning, teaching and applying geography. The aim of this book, which is a selection of EJG papers, is to highlight the contribution of geographic research in dealing with critical everyday issues such as health, education, accessibility etc. Modern Geography endowed with a wide variety of geospatial technologies is able to efficiently adress those and provide decisions makers with efficient means to successfully approach them.
